Who We Are Ministries

For more than a century

South America Mission has been working to see the Church of Jesus Christ multiplied and transforming communities by embodying the Kingdom of God. It has been our privilege to participate in Christ’s sufferings. Some have even laid down their lives. We rejoice in the progress of the gospel, a result of the faithfulness of those who have gone before. Yet our zeal for God’s glory in the nations has not waned.

Today that zeal translates into visible form through our missionaries and partners working to share the gospel, reproduce authentic disciples of Jesus, plant churches, train leaders and equip God’s people to minister transformationally.

Pray for: Bolivia December 12th, 2017

Today, December 12th, marks the 30th anniversary of the Iglesia Evangélica La Restauración (Restoration Evangelical Church) in Santa Cruz, Bolivia. The church’s name was adopted in the mid 90s when a pastoral team, made up of a lead pastor, Center for Integral Theological Education (CIET) students, and South America Mission (SAM) missionaries, stepped in to help a then-struggling, declining congregation. Now, 100 or more people attending a service is not uncommon, and God has used this church to provide a vital ministry to a local children’s home. Please pray that La Restauración may continue to have a real impact for Christ and pray for the resources needed for their building project to be able to better accommodate their growth.
