Jorge is Colombian, Ginny is the daughter of missionaries and grew up in Colombia. They live in Bogotá, their passion to see communities transformed by the gospel of grace. They’re leading a house church movement, forming outposts of God’s love and mercy throughout the city. Comunidad Viva, a foundation the Encisos established, is opening strategic doors for those from the house churches to be engaged in urban ministry. They started La Cueva, a transitional home for youth coming out of the foster care system. There’s Programa de Ayuda Extraescolar (PAE), an after-school tutoring ministry. And there’s SuperVacas, week-long bursts of fun infused with teachings of Christ-centered values for kids.
The Encisos have a deep love for Christ and burden to be His hands and feet to those around them. They both enjoy the urban setting, discipleship, and spending time with people. They desire to see the city transformed one community at a time as they embody Christ’s love to their neighbors.
