The Krestans served in Bolivia for 20 years, Kenny as a SAMAIR pilot and Diane the field’s bookkeeper. In 2016, they began serving in a new leadership role for one of SAM’s core missional emphases, of which they are passionate about: spiritual formation. Their focus will be SAM’s missionary corps and ministry partners in South America.
SAM’s vision statement is succinctly articulated by the phrase: Redeemed Lives, Beautiful Churches, Transformed Communities. This is what we long to see as SAM continues to labor in South America. It’s the Redeemed Lives part that the spiritual formation role will help shape and influence. In many ways, this is a return to the front-lines for the Krestans. One key element of their ministry is being present with SAM’s missionaries and partners in their varying contexts of ministry, thus, you will find them living and working in South America for varying lengths of time throughout the year.
When stateside, Diane serves in Donor Relations, providing great care for SAM’s missionary team and their supporters as she processes all the donations SAM receives.
