Kirk & Emily Ogden

Kirk Ogden is the Executive Director of South America Mission. He and Emily live in Fort Mill, SC, where they serve out of the international office. Kirk is responsible for shepherding SAM’s team of missionaries, cultivating the vision for SAM’s participation in the Great Commission, and providing strategic leadership to the mission community. Emily serves through prayer, member care and hospitality as many missionaries and partners pass through.

Kirk and Emily joined South America Mission in 1999. Their first assignment was in church planting and leadership development in eastern Bolivia. Prior to joining SAM, Kirk and Emily served with InterVarsity doing university student ministry in central Virginia. Their passion for discipleship and the study and application of the Word cultivated in those early years of ministry continues to influence their work today.

The Ogdens are passionate to see the half billion people of Latin America have a transforming encounter with Jesus. It is a joy to participate with their four children in God’s amazing redemptive work.
