Colombia Church Planting

As God’s people live authentically—infusing the world with the grace and mercy of Jesus—the local church takes on the beauty God desires for it. God’s church is a gathering of people through which he works out the purposes of redemption—in individuals, families, cities and nations.

Self-sustenance is too small a thing for the Church, Christ’s body which is the fullness of him who fills everything in every way. By his Spirit we are being shaped into redemptive communities. May the Lord renew in his people a passion for his will to be done “on earth as it is in heaven.”

The Church Planting fund is necessary to support the on-going efforts to multiply communities of the redeemed from the northern coastal region of Santa Marta, Riohacha and Uribia, to the central plains of Bogota and Villavicencio.

We have to be ready to respond with the people and resources when the Holy Spirit moves and begins a new work. Today, through the on-going efforts by La Esperanza church to plant new congregations in and around Santa Marta, to a burgeoning church plant in Riohacha and continued multiplication of church communities among the Wayuu in La Guajira desert, to house church movements in Bogota and Villavicencio, God is at work and South America Mission is poised to invest in the multiplication of His church across Colombia.
