The South America Mission team in Puerto Supe works with low-income people living in the central coastal area of Peru. We aim to create lasting change in this community through social, economic, and spiritual renewal.
Our goal is to bring people to Christ and disciple them. We teach them to reflect Christ, to serve others, and to see the community, including local and regional leaders, characterized by justice and accountability. We aim to help the church and community toward self-sustaining, profitable, family-run businesses.
Our team ministers holistically in Puerto Supe for the sake of Jesus Christ. Ongoing economic ministries include the development of a coffee shop, a local tourism office, and an artisan sandals business. There are also frequent one-time/temporary projects. The team’s social outreach centers around the Comunidad Cristiana Supe Puerto. Here, they facilitate new and deeper friendships, counsel locals, and reach families and individuals affected by drug and alcohol addictions.
Weekly worship services and Bible studies form the backbone of the spiritual ministry. The team is working to establish a lively, compassionate, Bible-based church.
