DOUBLE your year-end gift on GIVING TUESDAY, November 28th, 2017! Generous SAM donors have agreed to match dollar-for-dollar donations up to $13,500.
Would you make a year-end giving decision today to help us meet our ministry funding goals for 2017? All gifts given help sustain SAM’s organizational efforts to multiply the church of Jesus Christ across South America.
At the heart of God’s strategy for fulfilling the Great Commission is the multiplication of the church. “Going” and “making disciples” and “church” are all fundamentally about people, God’s redemptive agents.
South America Mission is a community of such redemptive agents; we’re missionaries. We’re spread across six countries of service and we come from backgrounds as diverse as the contexts of ministry in which we serve. Yet we serve one God who has given us an ordained purpose to glorify him among the nations.
Bringing this community together, equipping it well and fortifying it spiritually and professionally for long-term faithfulness and fruitfulness, takes work. It takes leaders dedicated to building infrastructure and foundation.
The Vision Fund sustains these efforts of South America Mission to lay the foundation and build the infrastructure necessary for our missionary community to thrive. Giving financially is an investment in organizational leadership. Our leadership team focuses in four key action areas:
- Sending Missionaries
- Shepherding Community
- Expanding Ministry
- Stewardship of Resources
Sending–South America Mission serves the church as a bridge-builder. We connect Great Commission responders from local congregations to contexts of ministry in South America. Our century of ministry experience, grasp of complex international environments, cultural expertise and networks of partners in South America combine to make us an excellent sending channel for Christian workers. Giving to Core Support allows us to make strategic investments in our bridge building, both in the systems to facilitate sending and in our mobilizers who engage missionary candidates for service.
Shepherding–South America Mission is a community of believers who have laid down their nets to follow Jesus to the ends of the earth. Our journey is spiritual and the path narrow. God has tasked SAM’s leadership to steer our community down this path of obedience and faithfulness, to the praise of His glory. By giving to the Vision Fund, you are giving to the development of services and programs that provide the highest level of care to SAM Missionaries. It’s about the spiritual well-being and long-term sustainability and effectiveness of our missionary corps.
Expanding Ministry–We believe the church multiplies as the people of God embody the kingdom of God in their homes, neighborhoods and work places. Embodying the Kingdom of God takes on very distinct and intentional articulations, we call these transformational ministry initiatives. The Vision Fund invests in the leadership collaboration necessary to make existing initiatives more effective and to launch new initiatives that keep us on the cutting edge of missions.
Stewardship–God out of his generous provision has entrusted South America Mission to administer an abundance of financial donations annually. The Vision Fund ensures that donated financial resources follow an investment path that honors God and the donors’ intent, and that resources are put to work to build effectively towards the church of Jesus Christ multiplied across South America and the world.
