Hana Kamiya

Hana first served with South America Mission in Bolivia, arriving in 2011. Having grown up in a Christian home, her dad and mom have been big influences in her life. She taught for several years in the US before being led to move to Santa Cruz and teach. Through a friend at church, she heard about SAM and the need for teachers at the Santa Cruz Christian Learning Center (SCCLC). Having become disillusioned with teaching, she had almost given up on the profession completely. However, through a 10-day trip to Santa Cruz, the Lord revealed His plans for her there and rekindled her passion for teaching. Hana was a kindergarten and first grade teacher at the SCCLC. Several years after landing in Santa Cruz, she served as the elementary principal at the Learning Center.

God has captured Hana’s heart for Latin America. She is currently attending language school and evaluating placement for further ministry with SAM.
