Mil Palmeras Church

In 2006, the South America Mission Peru Church Planting team began Iglesia Mil Palmeras in Pucallpa, Peru, also known as Thousand Palms Church. Today, the church is transforming its community by embodying the Kingdom of God. They actively engage their community and beyond into the Amazon to plant transformational churches, impacting the world for Christ.

The work through Mil Palmeras birthed a vision for a church multiplication movement in Lima, with an urban church plant at its heart. Additional works in the department of Ayacucho are gaining more traction as SAM’s Peru Church Planting teams there grow. Back in Pucallpa, Peru’s leadership team is exploring opportunities for church growth in and around Satipo and Tarapoto.

The Mil Palmeras Church fund helps fuel the work to see the vision become a reality. We long to see local expressions of the church of Jesus Christ transform from the jungle of Peru.
