The Story

We did it!!! Because of your generosity! Here on the last day of 2020, at about 1:30pm EST, we crossed the finish line to be able to purchase, outfit and import to Peru a replacement floatplane.

Now, additional funds raised will be used to rebuild the floatplane hangar that was destroyed in the storm, so, if you’re able to give, please do and we’ll invest your generosity wisely to bring the entire floatplane operation back online in 2021!

That’s right, only $60,000 more to raise to cross the $500,000 finish line!

Many of you gave in response to the $170,000 matching challenge. We launched the campaign on December 1 and by December 18, we surpassed our goal. YOU DID IT!

The response has been so great that it’s propelled us to the cusp of raising ALL WE NEED to get a floatplane back in the skies in eastern Peru.

Will you keep the momentum with us? Spread the word about this important need and help us cross the finish line by December 31.

Campaign Story

Sunday, November 8, SAMAIR Peru suffered a significant loss: a floatplane destroyed by winds. Please read the full story HERE.

We’re raising $500,000 to get a floatplane back in the skies over the eastern Amazon jungle of Peru.

Generous donors put together $170,000 in matching funds to launch this campaign; YOU met the challenge by December 18. Your generosity not only allowed us to surpass the matching threshold, it moved us close to our overall need of $500,000.
