From: $10 – subscription plan available

Katherine serves in the South America Mission US office as the Missionary Personnel Administrator. Born and raised in the DMV (DC-Maryland-Virginia area of the US), she interacted with internationals from an early age. She studied international business and French at High Point University. Then Katherine received a Fulbright Teaching Assistantship to teach English at a French high school in Versailles.

Although interested in missions in university, Katherine didn’t know any African-American missionaries and assumed missions wasn’t for Black people. The Lord took her to a missions-minded African-American church where she participated in short-term trips in the Caribbean and eventually did two years in Haiti. She returned from Haiti with the plan of doing career missions. She became a member of Wycliffe Bible Translators, serving for 12 years. Katherine worked in personnel administration and member care with Wycliffe’s field arm, SIL, in Cameroon (where she met and married her Swiss husband, Rolf), Central African Republic, France (where their son, Matthias, was born), and Switzerland before coming back to the U.S. and transitioning out of Wycliffe.

Katherine enjoys reading, penpalling, and writing with the desire to publish Christian fiction.
