Timmy and Mindy serve in Chapada, Brazil at the Ammi Training Center. This vital ministry engages in discipleship and provides the means for transformation in the lives of indigenous and rural Brazilians. Ammi’s vision is to see a dynamic church in every tribe in Brazil. Mindy focuses on Ammi curriculum and Bible translation while Timmy works in agricultural training and discipleship. They are excited to live among their Brazilian brothers and sisters and engage in holistic discipleship by pouring into the community at Ammi.

The Callahans, both from New York state, married in 2017. They share a passion for going out into the world to be the hands and feet of Jesus. Mindy has a master’s degree in Applied Linguistics with a focus in ethnomusicology, and Timmy has a degree in Conservation Biology and Forestry. As a result, the Callahan’s unique gifts and training blend well with the spiritual and physical needs presented through South America Mission’s diverse ministry contexts.
