SUMMARY:Cumbre 2025 - Supporting Venezuelan Pastors
DESCRIPTION:Church Planting\, Leadership Formation and Pastoral Care for hispanic pastors is the heart of what Transforming Ministries does. Led by pastor Ricardo Dias\, this initiative is one of the ministries supported by South America Mission because it deeply aligns with our values and mission. Like us\, Ricardo longs to see beautiful churches and transformed communities across South America. \nEarlier this year\, Ricardo spent some time in Venezuela investing in the lives of local pastors. He encountered leaders who are passionate\, excited and fully devoted to their ministry\, yet he also saw their suffering and that they were weary. Moved by what he saw\, he decided to walk alongside their lives and ministry in a deeper way. \nOne key opportunity is Cumbre 2025\, the first summit meeting for South American pastors hosted by Transforming Ministries. This gathering in Bogotá\, Colombia will gather over 100 pastors\, leaders and friends from Colombia\, Ecuador\, Venezuela\, the U.S. and Spain as they share in life as brothers and sisters\, laughing together\, praying for one another\, and remembering one simple truth—healthy pastors lead healthy churches. \nTransforming ministries has pledged to cover all of the expenses for hosting the pastors from Venezuela\, and SAM is honored to partner with them in this effort. We would like to invite your church to join in this effort too. \nWill your church consider helping bring these faithful church leaders to Cumbre?\nSAM has committed to raising funds to cover the costs for the 30 Venezuelan pastors that have been invited to participate in and be encouraged by the community of Cumbre.\nThe total estimated cost for these pastors to travel to and participate in Cumbre is $13\,500.\nWill your church consider a one time donation of $500\, $750\, $1\,000 or some other amount?

DESCRIPTION:On July 26th\, South America Mission (SAM)\, in partnership with City to City Latam\, will host a Come and See event focused on the church planting network in Lima\, Peru. This is a unique opportunity to hear firsthand from pastor Julio Chiang about the transformative work happening in this global city. \nThrough SAM\, Julio and his team lead the Lima Initiative\, a gospel-centered movement seeking to transform the city of Lima through collaboration\, and serving as a catalyst for church unity\, growth\, and multiplication. At this gathering\, Julio will share a report of the current work being done in this global city\, as well as cast vision for upcoming years. \nThis year’s event will be hosted by Vive Charlotte\, a diverse church plant located on the east side of Charlotte. Pastor Jose Portillo grew up in El Salvador and has lived in the U.S. for over 25 years and serves as the executive Director of the Hispanic Leadership Initiative. \nWe are excited about the opportunity of partnering with Jose and Vive Charlotte— and to welcome pastors and church leaders from across denominations to this encouraging time of connection and vision-sharing
