We are building a missionary team with a vision to see an urban church in a professional, upwardly mobile demographic having a transformative impact on local communities. We need missionaries with church-planting experience to join this team. Other preferred qualifications are Spanish-language fluency or willingness to learn, humility to grow through cross-cultural engagement, prioritizing relationships and solid theological and missiological grounding.
Peru: Lima and Ayacucho
Our Lima and Ayacucho church planting teams are actively working to reach their communities for Christ. The Lima Initiative partners with City to City and trains local pastors while growing their own church plant. Learn more about how the team in Lima is reaching their city for Christ: Lima Initiative.
The Ayacucho Initiative, up in the mountains of south-central Peru, is beginning to network and establish relationships for forming a church plant. This small team is engaging in evangelism and discipleship at a local level to build up a community of believers. Learn more about the Ayacucho team and how you can join them in ministry: Ayacucho Iniative.
Bolivia: Santa Cruz
SAM Bolivia has been actively ministering among professionals in the city of Santa Cruz for years. Through friendships, networking, bible studies, ESL outreach and other intentional measures, God is forming a community. The professional class ministry in Santa Cruz is not a structured church plant, but more of a network of evangelism and discipleship. The Fundación Comunidad Viva grows house churches in strategic neighborhoods in Bogota. This team focuses on community transformation through organic house churches which grow out of the fellowship of local believers. These house churches are encouraged to participate in other FCV initiatives such as children’s ministry and after school programs. The Fundación is seeking a missionary volunteer to partner with their Colombian leaders and to engage in discipleship and Bible training with the house church members.
