Lucas visit to Home OFfice

We recently had the joy of welcoming John and Minori Lucas to our U.S. office during their Home Ministry Assignment. After 34 years of service in Pucallpa, Peru, they continue to radiate a deep love for the Lord and a heart for the people they serve. Their visit was an encouragement to our staff, and a reminder of God’s faithfulness through decades of ministry.

John serves as the field administrator for SAM Peru and oversees the SAM base in Pucallpa, where several missionary families live and where SAM Academy is located. Minori’s ministry is wide-reaching and deeply relational. She helps lead several initiatives including Ministerio Impacto (a ministry for the elderly), JPNR (a youth camp ministry), and Granito de Amor (a children’s ministry). She also teaches at SAM Academy and leads ESL classes, building connections with students and families. Together, John and Minori also host a Bible study for young married couples, walking with them as they grow in understanding God’s plan for marriage. They frequently open their home and hearts to short-term mission teams, guiding them as they engage with local communities and churches.

Please pray for John and Minori during this season of HMA—that God would refresh and strengthen them as they reconnect with family, friends, and supporting churches in the U.S. Pray also for their ongoing ministries in Peru, that God would multiply the impact of their faithfulness in every generation they serve.
