Craig DeLille recently joined Ricardo Poquiviqui on a 3,000-mile journey across the state of Piauí, Brazil, visiting nine towns and five Indigenous people groups. This trip was part of SAM’s broader ministry to walk with Indigenous communities—learning their stories, understanding their realities, and exploring how the Gospel might take deeper root.
Together, they asked important questions: Does the government recognize their people group? Does the government recognize their land? What are their beliefs? Would they welcome a missionary presence? They also had the joy of worshiping with local believers and sharing the hope of Christ wherever they went.
Please pray for the Indigenous communities of Piauí, and for discernment as SAM partners with local leaders to bring the Gospel where it has not yet been named.
