Mark Powers in Retirement

As we give thanks this season, we pause to honor and pray for Mark Powers as he steps into retirement after more than 10 years of faithful service with South America Mission.

Mark served on SAM’s Senior Leadership Team as Finance Director, bringing decades of experience, steady wisdom, patience, and a great sense of humor to the Home Office. His faithfulness behind the scenes helped strengthen SAM’s financial integrity and organizational health, creating a solid foundation that supports missionaries and ministries across South America.

We are deeply grateful for Mark’s loyalty, humility, and servant-hearted leadership. As he enters retirement, Mark is looking forward to spending more time with his wife, Darlene, and their grandchildren in a new season filled with rest, joy, and family.

Please pray with us in thanksgiving for Mark’s years of service and dedication. Pray for a smooth and life-giving transition into retirement, for continued purpose and joy, and for God’s blessing over Mark and Darlene in this next chapter.
