Supporting Missionaries over the holidays

November 3rd, 2025

The holidays are a special time for missionaries filled with opportunities to share the love of Christ across cultures. Yet this season can also bring deep homesickness as they miss family, familiar traditions, and their sending churches.

This month in SAM’s Stories, we offer a window into that experience and include a gift guide with practical ways you can care for missionaries during the holidays. From simple notes and Christmas cards to meaningful gifts that meet real needs, these small gestures remind missionaries that they are seen, loved, and not forgotten.

Pray for missionaries and their families who will spend the holidays far from home. Ask the Lord to fill their hearts with His peace and joy, and to provide encouragement through the care and prayers of their supporters. May every act of kindness this season strengthen their faith and point to the hope we have in Christ.
