Dave and Marilyn have served together in Pucallpa, Peru from 1978 to the present.

Dave is a pilot. He flew for SAMAIR as a missionary aviator for more than three decades. Today he is the Peru Field Director, shepherding SAM’s growing Peru team spread across the country in the areas of Pucallpa, Puerto Supe, Ayacucho and Lima.

Marilyn is a volunteer at Latidos de Esperanza crisis pregnancy center which partners with local Pucallpa churches. The center reaches out to all women who face crisis pregnancies, providing them with balanced information about their choices, conveying the importance of the sanctity of human life, promoting purity and abstinence among youth and single adults, and counseling women who are post-abortive.

Dave and Marilyn both are active in leadership development and discipleship at Mil Palmeras Church in Pucallpa. Their grown children are Michael, David, and Stephanie. Stephanie and Todd and their three girls make up the Edgar clan, and they serve with SAMAIR in Peru.

Each of South America Mission’s countries of service incurs costs associated with managing and facilitating ministry and caring for missionaries (e.g. compliance with local government regulations, operating a field office, stewarding field finances, etc.) Resources allocated in support of the general operations of the Peru field directly support the infrastructure essential to ministry.
