Desde: $10 – subscription plan available

Abbie Kim serves as the Mobilization Coordinator at South America Mission’s U.S. office. She helps recruit interns and short-term missionaries while guiding them through the application process. With her own experience as a SAM intern, she understands the challenges and excitement of stepping into ministry for the first time.

Originally from Summerfield, NC, Abbie earned degrees in Hispanic Linguistics and Global Studies from the University of North Carolina. During college, she grew in faith and served as a student leader in her college ministry. She also took part in short-term mission trips and studied abroad in Spain, shaping an interest in ministry and cross-cultural work.

In 2023, Abbie spent seven months in Lima, Peru, as a SAM intern. She served with Iglesia de la Ciudad and The Lima Initiative, gaining hands-on experience in ministry. That season strengthened her love for the Spanish language and deepened her desire to walk alongside others in their faith. Now, in her role at SAM, she is excited to help others discern their call to missions and take their next steps in serving Christ in Latin America.

In June 2024, Abbie married Jonathan, and together they are joyfully navigating this new season of life.
