Originally from Brazil, Thomas has a heart for connecting churches to God’s global work. He moved to the Charlotte, North Carolina area in 2021 to pursue seminary studies at Reformed Theological Seminary (RTS), graduating in December 2024. In June 2024, Thomas married his wife, Margaret, and they now live in Fort Mill, South Carolina.
Before coming to the United States, Thomas served faithfully in his home church in Brazil, using sports, music, media, and teaching to share the hope of Christ. After two years of evangelistic ministry in northeast Minas Gerais, he sensed a strong call to pastoral ministry. While studying at RTS, Thomas became increasingly involved in church planting and now serves with Aspen Grove Church in Indian Land, South Carolina.
As South America Mission’s Church Engagement Manager, Thomas helps U.S. churches partner with SAM’s work across Latin America. He builds relationships with sending churches, encouraging them to support missionaries, ministries, and projects through prayer, financial investment, and sending teams. Thomas is passionate about helping churches deepen their global missions involvement and strengthening connections between congregations and the Kingdom work across South America.
When he’s not engaging with churches or serving at Aspen Grove, Thomas enjoys spending time with Margaret, writing and playing music, and playing sports.
