Pray for the countries where SAM serves during Carnival, a festival from Feb. 14-18 characterized by sinful passions and instant gratification just before the 40 days of fasting for Lent. Pray for opportunities for our personnel and ministry partners to love people well during this time and share the truth that these desires are too weak while infinite joy and satisfaction is available in Jesus. Pray for soft hearts to hear and respond to the Gospel in faith.

Praise God for entering into this broken world by becoming like us in order to redeem what has been corrupted and entrusting this ministry of reconciliation to us. He is the hope and joy of all nations. Pray for His continued work across South America transforming individuals and communities.

Pray for the SAM missionaries and their extended families as they are apart from one another. Some of these family members are struggling spiritually, with physical health, and with other life issues. It can be difficult for the missionaries to be away from their loved ones during these times. Pray for the Spirit to be near, comfort, and work for eternal good in these times.

Praise God for sending the Son to dwell among us, die in our place, and rise again so that we may be reconciled to Him, and for entrusting us with this ministry of reconciliation. Pray that we will be faithful and for many in South America to be drawn to Christ.

Pray for the spiritual health and protection of SAM as we labor against spiritual powers of darkness. Ask God to strengthen and encourage us and overcome the darkness with the light of Christ.

Board and Field Director meetings will be occurring November 11-16. Please pray for the necessary preparation for these meetings and that God will direct the steps of the mission to His glory as reports are shared and decisions are made.

Please pray for the SAM missionary who has been imprisoned without trial; today at 4pm (EST) there will be a trial to decide if he can be released from prison to continue the court process. Please pray for the Lord’s vindication, strength for him and his family, and that God will exalt Himself through this trial.

Pray for all SAM personnel to be a people who abide and delight in Christ and that Christ would bear His fruit through that abiding.

Pray that God would work in South America in a mighty way this year, drawing many sheep into His fold and conforming many into the likeness of Christ, for His glory!

Thank God that He owns all resources; please pray that He would provide the prayer and financial support for our missionaries in a way that would humble and astound them and would result in many lives being redeemed and transformed by the power of the Gospel!
