On July 26th, South America Mission (SAM), in partnership with City to City Latam, will host a Come and See event focused on the church planting network in Lima, Peru. This is a unique opportunity to hear firsthand from pastor Julio Chiang about the transformative work happening in this global city.
Through SAM, Julio and his team lead the Lima Initiative, a gospel-centered movement seeking to transform the city of Lima through collaboration, and serving as a catalyst for church unity, growth, and multiplication. At this gathering, Julio will share a report of the current work being done in this global city, as well as cast vision for upcoming years.
This year’s event will be hosted by Vive Charlotte, a diverse church plant located on the east side of Charlotte. Pastor Jose Portillo grew up in El Salvador and has lived in the U.S. for over 25 years and serves as the executive Director of the Hispanic Leadership Initiative.
