Recently, a team of students from SAM Academy in Pucallpa and Carmel Christian School in North Carolina spent several days together on a river ministry trip in the Peruvian Amazon. They ate, slept, and traveled on a boat as they visited river communities and learned more about missions and a life of service.
These trips are designed first and foremost as a time of discipleship for the students. Living closely together on the boat gave them space to build friendships, pray, reflect, and learn from one another. Visiting the river communities helped them see life and ministry from a new perspective.
The team has now returned safely, and we’re thankful for a smooth and meaningful trip. We trust the Lord will continue to use this experience to shape their hearts and guide their next steps.
