Music and Sports Ministry in Brazil

On January 19, missionary Craig DeLille traveled to Piauí, Brazil, with missionaries Paul Crothers and Djaniro Loureiro. They spent three days with Pastor José Carvalho and the church family of Comunidade Evangélica Bétel.

Pastor José and his church share a vision to reach their community through music and sports. These are areas Craig, Paul, and Djaniro actively use in their own ministry contexts. During the visit, the team built relationships with church leaders and members. They also offered practical teaching and guidance on how to organize community outreach in ways that draw people toward God.

On the final evening, the team hosted an impromptu gathering for local pastors and church leaders. Together, they explored the broader role of the church in society and how the Gospel shapes worldview and community transformation.

Please pray that Craig, Paul, and Djaniro will continue to walk alongside Pastor José and the church. Pray for lasting partnerships and for God to grow His Kingdom in the remote interior of northeast Brazil.
