Tse, Sam

Sam serves as the Executive Director of the Canadian South America Mission (CANSAM). His journey in missions was a sharp pivot from the banking world, sparked when, as a young believer, he challenged God to make Himself real—and God answered with a call to the nations. He first served as a single missionary in Colombia, later serving in the US Home Office, and most recently as Field Director in Bolivia with his wife, Margarita.

In 2019, Sam and his family returned to Canada for a planned furlough. However, God disrupted their plans to return to the field through the global changes of COVID-19 and a new calling to the local church, where Sam continues to serve part-time today.

At CANSAM, Sam humbly offers his deep experience in field leadership and pastoral care to catalyze the Church in South America for Gospel Transformation. He serves as the primary organizational leader and representative to the Canadian church, participating as a senior leader on the international team to oversee the mission’s global efforts.

Sam and Margarita have three children—Mateo, Victoria, and Elena.
