Boone, Abbie

From: $10 – subscription plan available

Abbie is from Summerfield, NC. She will serve with SAM’s missionary team in Lima, Peru as an intern.

A recent graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, she holds degrees in Hispanic Linguistics and Global Studies. Growing up in a family of believers, Abbie actively participated in her church youth groups during her middle and high school years. This allowed her to experience numerous short-term mission trips across the US and Jamaica.

However, it wasn’t until she fully dedicated her life to Christ during her sophomore year of college that she realized the impact of the gospel on her life and sharing it with others. This pivotal moment sparked her involvement as a student leader in college ministry at her local church. It also revealed a desire to work in ministry.

After studying the Spanish language for eight years and studying abroad in Spain, she also developed a strong passion for this language. Through this and her personal relationship with Christ, she discerned God placing a call on her life to serve with international missions in Latin America.

Abbie is eagerly preparing to join the team in Peru and see what the Lord has planned!

    Ministry: Peru Field, GO Fund

Each of South America Mission’s countries of service incurs costs associated with managing and facilitating ministry and caring for missionaries (e.g. compliance with local government regulations, operating a field office, stewarding field finances, etc.) Resources allocated in support of the general operations of the Peru field directly support the infrastructure essential to ministry.
