Centro de Capacitacion Biblica (CCB) is a Bible training institute in Pucallpa, Peru. CCB serves 21 different Indigenous groups in the Amazon basin. With Bible, doctrine, and ministry training, students return to serve in their churches. Please pray for these students and that the Gospel will transform their communities.

No one was hurt! A large limb fell on a building at SAM Academy, thankfully, when no one was around. Please pray for the staff as they clean up and fix the damage while school continues. 

Located in the jungle region of Pucallpa, Peru, SAM Academy frees missionary parents for service by providing their children with a well-rounded education, spiritual discipleship, and preparation for higher education in their passport country. SAM Academy is honored to support missionary families in seeing the Church multiply and transform communities by embodying the Kingdom of God.

Impact Camp 2023 was a wonderful time of fun and fellowship! Ministerio Impacto is a ministry that serves and cares for senior citizens in Pucallpa, Peru. Pray for joy and perseverance for the volunteers and leaders and for friendship and connection for the many adults who participate.

Rick and Donna Martin, along with Pastor Cesar and his wife Vanessa from the IBC Ayacucho church, were invited to host a Parenting Workshop for the 6th-grade parents of a local Catholic school. They taught several sessions on the gospel, gratitude, forgiveness, and restoration. Praise God for deepened connections within families. Pray for more opportunities to return and teach more workshops!

Twenty-two members of Mil Palmeras Church in Pucallpa, Peru, graduated from “Bible Academy,” which entails years of in-depth study. Praise God for their perseverance to show up week after week for intense classes. Pray that God will grow fruit from their study of His Word.

The Sheets family serves with TEAM and the Ciudad de Dios church in Arequipa, Peru. They are participating in an evangelistic festival, “Festival por la Vida,” with Mike Silva International on September 30 in Cuzco. Pray for the Sheets family as they minister to others and support the local ministry workers. Please pray for unity among the local churches sharing the Gospel and serving the city. 

A group of missionaries-in-training from Lima kicked off an outreach to kids in a local park in Ayacucho. Rick and Donna Martin will be continuing the outreach on Saturday mornings with their church. Please pray that the kids would have fun, make connections, and learn about God’s love for them.

Ask that our students may grow and thrive academically this school year. Pray even more that each may know Jesus as their Savior. Pray with us that wherever their paths lead, each of our students will make a difference in the world because of their love for Christ.

Pray for creativity, energy, and flexibility for our teachers, many of whom have separate ministries on the side, as they navigate whatever the year ahead brings. Please pray for these wonderful people by name, that God may fill their hearts with His Word and speak wisdom and love through them to our student body. This year’s teachers are Mike and Marcy Brown, Bill Carrera, Cristy van Oosten, Krista Hetzel, Cristina Thomas, Crystal Murphree, Robert Busenitz, Minori Lucas, Silvia Shapiama, and Nayelly Tenazoa.

Pray for our administrator, Mike Brown, and our principal, Bill Carrera, as they seek to lead our school through a successful year. They both teach full class loads as well as guide our school administratively. Pray they have times of rest and regular time in the Word. Pray for wisdom and support to lead our school well.
