Back To Prayers

SAMAIR Bolivia

SAMAIR Bolivia transports pastors, missionaries, doctors, dentists, and passengers to the hardest-to-reach places in the country. The current SAMAIR team is new to the field and learning to operate within government regulations. Please pray for the team as they continue to grow and work together. Pray for the Lord to open doors to use the tools of SAMAIR to further His Kingdom and for His glory, love, and salvation to be known by those who have not yet heard of Him.

To watch a video with more details of these prayer requests, you can find it on SAM’s Facebook and Instagram accounts.

Dana Wilson-Pinto

This month, we pray for God’s work in Bolivia through SAM.

South America Mission has been a part of God’s work in Bolivia since 1922. While ministry has changed over the years, SAM remains passionate about discipleship, evangelism, churches, leadership training, and community development. Dana Wilson-Pinto, the SAM Bolivia Director, leads the Bolivia team to bring about Gospel transformation in their cities and communities. The Bolivia team works closely with pastors, churches, partner ministries, and local leaders. Please pray for Dana and her husband, Victor, as they live out the Gospel in their lives and the ministries God has given them.

Laura Ortiz

Laura Ortiz is the elementary principal at SCCLC (Santa Cruz Christian Learning Center) in Santa Cruz, Bolivia. Pray for wisdom and strength as she leads and trains the teachers. Pray for her witness to God’s goodness and lovingkindness as she interacts with staff, students, and parents.

SCCLC (pre-K through 12th grade) develops students academically and spiritually with a vision for impacting the world. Graduates receive both international and local diplomas in preparation for global engagement. SCCLC’s high standards of academic excellence, emphasis on spiritual formation, and English-speaking environment attract students from families with influence in business and politics as well as in local churches.

SAMAIR Bolivia

Praise! The Cessna 206 is airworthy! After months of mechanical maintenance and government paperwork, the SAMAIR Bolivia team celebrated a successful first flight. Pray for the future ministry of this aircraft in Bolivia. SAMAIR Bolivia assists pastors, medical personnel, and other missionaries working to expand the Kingdom of God in Bolivia.

To watch the video of the first flight, you can find it on SAM’s Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn accounts.

SAMAIR Bolivia

Praise! We have been praying as SAMAIR Bolivia has been working diligently to get the Cessna 206 airworthy. There have been significant setbacks with government paperwork and parts stuck in customs. But we are resubmitting the necessary paperwork in the new digital system, and an important part was recently released from customs. Praise God for the progress so far, and pray that the SAMAIR team stays encouraged as they persevere.

Marriage Group in Santa Cruz, Bolivia

Micah and Haley Bittner serve with SAMAIR in Bolivia. They are a part of a local congregation and have been involved with the marriage group. The Bittners hosted the last marriage group of the year at the SAMAIR hangar with a taste of Texas pit BBQ. Smoking the meat was a new experience for many, and needless to say, it was a hit! The couples enjoyed fellowship and shared what the Lord taught them this past year and how they want to grow this upcoming year.

SAMAIR Bolivia

Big praise! SAMAIR Bolivia passed the Bolivian Annual Inspection for the Cessna 206. This plane had not been flown for many years and required a lot of maintenance to receive the airworthiness certificate. SAMAIR also received a safety audit from Mission Safety International (MSI) that encouraged the team. Please pray for the SAMAIR team and praise God that the Cessna will be used for Kingdom work in Bolivia again.

CIET

The Center for Integral Theological Education (CIET) in Santa Cruz, Bolivia, exists to provide well-rounded, quality, biblical pastoral education for pastors and lay leaders to see them grounded in love, ministry, and doctrine. Classes remain virtual for the most part after the pandemic. This is mainly due to the unanticipated advantage of connecting with rural students. Pray for the staff and students of CIET.
